Neymar praised by Rivaldo among jeers

Former Barcelona star Rivaldo has praised the ‘personality’ of Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar in scoring over the weekend.

The forward netted a stunning overhead kick in the last minute as PSG won against Strasbourg, but was the target of booing and jeers from his own fans both before and after the strike.

The Brazilian star had been heavily linked with a return to Barcelona this summer as an exit from the French capital has appeared to be looking increasingly likely.

Neymar slams PSG for blocking his exit

Neymar has hit out at Paris Saint-Germain for blocking his exit from the club this summer.

The Brazilian international stated his desire to leave the French champions at the end of the 2018-19 season, and he was heavily linked with return to former side FC Barcelona.

However, the La Liga champions declined to make a bid for the 28-year old, with PSG demanding a fee in the region of €200M, and Neymar has revealed his frustration at the situation.

Neymar scores on Brazil return

The Brazilian striker scored a goal on his return after a three month injury.

Neymar has been the talk of the summer transfer window for his will he, won't he, almost theatrical soap opera.

However, the PSG forward put all that, and his spell on the sidelines to one side with a goalscoring return with the Brazilian national side.

Neymar scored the fourth goal of the game - against fellow South American side Columbia - rescuing his side a 2-2 draw in front of more than 60,000 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.
