Sevilla lose battle for Batshuayi?

Sevilla appear to have been edged out by La Liga rivals Valencia in the bid to sign Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi.

Los Rojiblancos’ director of football Joaquin Caparros had indicated that the Andalusians would wait until the last minute to bring in the forward that boss Pablo Machin wants, but Mundo Deportivo reports that the Belgium international has opted for Champions League football with Valencia next season.

Atleti could turn to Batshuayi

Atletico Madrid may be ready to turn to Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi as their search for a No 9 continues.

Los Rojiblancos are hopeful of concluding a loan deal for Milan’s Croatian frontman Nikola Kalinic, yet with no agreement having materialised in the past two weeks they are now looking at alternatives – and Batshuayi is the latest name to be added to the list of candidates.

Valencia want Batshuayi loan deal

Valencia are understood to have sounded out Chelsea about a loan deal for striker Michy Batshuayi.

Los Che have their eyes on Atletico Madrid’s Kevin Gameiro but are keeping their options open in case that deal falls through, and Batshuayi tops their list of possible alternatives, according to COPE.

The Belgium international, 24, was signed from Marseille for a reported €40m in April 2016 and made 32 league appearances for the London club.

Batshuayi on Atletico agenda?

Atletico Madrid have turned their attention to Marseille and Belgium forward Michy Batshuayi, reports say.

AS cites claims from French publication L’Equipe that says Los Colchoneros’ striker search has now landed on Batshuayi, who is representing his country at Euro 2016 on the back of a prolific season in Ligue 1.

Juventus and West Ham have also been touted as interested in the 22-year-old, with a fee of €40m mooted, the Old Lady having thus far bid €35m.

Batshuayi or Falcao for Valencia?

Valencia Coach Nuno Santo has asked Peter Lim to sign a striker in January and Michy Batshuayi and Radamel Falcao are the two candidates.

Alvaro Negredo and Rodrigo de Paul are expected to leave Mestalla in the winter window, with de Paul on Tuesday linked to Benfica in the Portuguese Press.

Nuno was recently in Singapore to meet with Lim and Falcao and Batshuayi are the players identified as possible additions.
