Real Madrid facing significant problem with Kylian Mbappe ahead of impending summer arrival

Kylian Mbappe is edging closer and closer to finally becoming a Real Madrid player from next season onwards. Having signalled his intention to leave Paris Saint-Germain when his contract expires in the summer, he has now reportedly agreed personal terms with Los Blancos, and also penned his first deal at the club.

Mbappe is set to be officially unveiled by Real Madrid following the conclusion of the European Championships in Germany, where he will be playing for France. However, it may not be the only tournament in which he represents his country, and Diario AS say that the FFF are pushing to include him in their squad for the nation’s home Olympics Games, which will take place in Paris.

The Olympics coincide with Real Madrid’s pre-season tour of the United States, and should France go far, Mbappe may not return until (at most) a week or so before the 2024-25 campaign begins, which would be concerning for Los Blancos, as they would be without their new star signing for the entirely of pre-season.

Real Madrid will look to sit down with Mbappe over the coming months to discuss the matter. Their stance on the matter is likely to be rather clear, although the final decision would come down to the player himself.
