Despite leading the assist charts in Ligue 1, Messi’s lack of goals and PSG’s Champions League exit to Real Madrid have been a regular point of criticism from his detractors.
Last night he delivered a memorable moment for PSG fans though. With the score tied at 0-0, Messi unleashed an incredible shot from distance into the top corner. Their opponents RC Lens would get a late equaliser but a point was enough for the Parisians to take the Ligue 1 title.
