Brazilian club Santos have ruled out a deal with Barcelona for youngster Rodrygo over a debt the Catalans still owe in relation to Neymar.
Santos President, Jose Carlos Peres, confirmed Barca’s interest in the 17-year-old – who has already made his debut – at a Press conference, but insisted there will be no negotiations.
Peres claimed Santos are still owed €14.5m from Barca for the Neymar transfer, which took place in June 2013, while the Brazilians also demanded Barca pay them €4.5m for a friendly between the two clubs which never took place, although they claim it was part of the agreement.
“There is no planned meeting with Barcelona as we have a process open against them which is to do with Neymar.
“It would be irresponsible on our part to meet with them,” explained Peres.
