Marcelo confesses ‘I’d love to play with Neymar’ at Real Madrid but concedes ‘Roberto Carlos will always be better than me.’
“Our start to the season was a bit difficult, but we’ve gone on to draw confidence, score goals and play well,” remarked the left-back after Los Merengues’ 5-0 thrashing of Celta Vigo on Saturday.
“We haven’t won the League, but we’ve done everything possible to play well and win. 450 games and 30 years of age? I feel good and happy, with confidence of my teammates and coaches.
“We’re privileged and we have to enjoy every training session and match, as well as give everything for this shirt.
“We still have one more game [before the Champions League Final]. We’ll play to win and we’ll be focused. It’ll be a good match to gain morale.
“Neymar? The best players come to Madrid and I’d love to play with Neymar. When I talk to Neymar, I don’t talk about Real Madrid or if he’s going to leave PSG.
“Comparisons with Roberto Carlos? There’s not going to be another Roberto Carlos; Roberto Carlos will always be better than Marcelo.”
