Manchester United’s interest in Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has intensified due to speculation around David De Gea’s future, says a report.

ESPN state the Slovenian shot-stopper is Jose Mourinho’s priority replacement for De Gea, should the latter attempt to push through a summer move to Real Madrid.

The report mentions that while United have also watched Milan's teenage goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, his lack of Champions League experience has given Oblak the edge.

Reports last month suggested the Atleti keeper’s representatives had flown to Manchester to carry out discussions although his €95m release clause could prove problematic.

Those suggestions followed shortly after reports in Marca had suggested De Gea’s agent Jorge Mendes had given Los Blancos ‘the green light’ to negotiate for his client this summer.
