Sevilla have announced the signings of defenders Sergio Escudero and Adil Rami, with an official unveiling scheduled for Tuesday.
Escudero, a left-back, joins for a reported €2.5m from Getafe and will replace Fernando Navarro, who recently left for Deportivo La Coruna, while Rami arrives from Milan as a centre-back reinforcement following the departure of Alejandro Arribas, also to Riazor.
“[The medical for] Sergio Escudero started very early on [Monday] morning at FREMAP hospital,” read a statement on Sevilla’s official website.
“There, he met with some of his new team-mates, mostly the canteras. The Spanish left-back will be presented on Tuesday at 13.30 [CET] alongside [Adil] Rami.
“The French centre-back will arrive in Seville [on Monday night] and is expected to pass a medical on Tuesday morning.
“Both players join to bolster a defence that has lost a left-back in Fernando Navarro and centre-back in [Alejandro] Arribas.”
