Malaga have confirmed that left-back Vitorino Antunes is set to join Dynamo Kiev before the end of the transfer window.
Boss Javi Gracia has omitted the Portuguese defender from his squad for the visit of Valencia on Monday night, while the player is believed to have flown to Kiev to undergo a medical before signing his contract with the Ukrainian outfit.
Reports in Spain maintain the Andalusians will receive a fee of around €6m for the 27-year-old, who joined the club from Pacos Ferreira in January 2012.
“I’m starting a new adventure in my career and will enter it, as always, with great professionalism,” Antunes told reporters.
“I’ll work to achieve the club’s objectives but I want to thank everyone at Malaga, who have shown me great affection over the past two years, and I’ve been very happy.
“I also want to thank my teammates who have helped me to improve every day I’ve trained with them.”
