Mallorca deny Valencia offer

Real Mallorca have denied receiving an offer from Valencia for midfielder Giovani dos Santos.

However, according to realmallorca.co.uk, the Islanders have admitted to an enquiry from Major League Soccer outfit LA Galaxy following their relegation to La Segunda.

It had been reported that Dos Santo was about to become new Valencia boss Miroslav Djukic’s first signing for €6.7m, but due to  financial restrictions imposed after entering administration Mallorca would only receive 25 per cent of any transfer fee.

In addition, Los Bermellones only own 50 per cent of the Mexican international’s rights.

The club did confirm they have had several enquiries for Tomas Pina and the 25-year-old plans to ‘sit down, talk and see what is best for both parties’ before making a decision on whether he will be using the exit door.

One player who will departing Son Moix is winger Michael Perreira, who has already announced his intention to leave.

“I told [owner] Lorenzo Serra Ferrer my situation is not the most appropriate. I had already made my decision, not after the [last game of the season against] Real Valladolid match, but much earlier,” he is quoted as saying.
