Already the World Cup is being discussed in Spain with eight months to go before the tournament gets underway in the United States, Mexico and Canada next year, with La Roja one of the favourites for the tournament. Luis de la Fuente’s side now have their battle armour for the event.

On Wednesday the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) released the first images of the Adidas kit which will function as their home strip for the World Cup. La Roja will be in a vintage look strip, with the navy blue shoulder trim and vertical yellow lines reminding of Spain kits from the 1990s.

New Spain shirt will debut against Turkiye

Spain will get its first look at the new strip in action on Tuesday the 18th of November, when de la Fuente’s side play the second of their two World Cup qualifiers in the international break, which will close out their qualifying campaign. Spain host Turkiye at La Cartuja in Seville, which has slowly become the unofficial home stadium for La Roja in recent years.

Spain have released their kit for the 2026 World Cup.

Currently Spain are in pole position to top their group, with a three-point advantage over Turkiye and maximum points from their first four games. They take on Georgia on Saturday in Tblisi.

La Roja shaping up well for World Cup

De la Fuente’s side are shaping up well for next year’s tournament, playing some of the best football around in the international game, and scoring significant amounts of goals. The main concern for de la Fuente will be injuries, with a number of key contributors to their Euro 2024 triumph battling fitness issues. Lamine Yamal and Nico Williams are struggling with the same groin issue, while Rodri Hernandez and Dani Carvajal are yet hit full flight since their ACL surgeries, the latter going back under the knife again recently.
