On Saturday, it was confirmed that La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation had rejected Barcelona’s latest attempt to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. This is despite the fact that the Catalans raised the money required, but it came after the 31st of December deadline that had been established.
However, Barcelona are not giving up, as they are determined to ensure that Hansi Flick can call upon Olmo and Victor for the second half of the season. It has been reported by Helena Condis that they will go the legal route, with an appeal against La Liga and the Federation’s decision set to be filed with the Higher Sports Council.

There is no doubt that Barcelona will fight tooth and nail to have Olmo and Victor registered, especially as both can terminate their contracts if the Catalan club are unsuccessful. It remains to be seen how this matter will play out over the coming weeks.
