Alphonso Davies

Bayern Munich look to shake up Alphonso Davies situation again as Real Madrid wait poised

Bayern Munich are not closing the door on an exit for left-back Alphonso Davies this summer, according to the latest in Bavaria. That could mean another signing for Real Madrid before August ends.

According to Diario AS, Real Madrid will be forced into making a decision on Davies, as Bayern have opened the door to a sale this summer once more. Prior to that, it had been generally considered that Bayern would hold onto Davies for the final year of his deal, and would try to convince him to renew during that period.

They same source do still note that Bayern will demand €50m for his signature, and until they are willing to compromise on that fee, it seems unlikely any deal gets done. Some sources say Real Madrid will pay as much as €30-35m for Davies, but no more, knowing he could arrive for free next summer.

Recent reporting has also noted that Los Blancos could test Bayern’s resolve in the final days of the transfer window. Regardless, Real Madrid have Fran Garcia, and Ferland Mendy is thought to be in talks with them over a renewal. They already have a verbal agreement with Davies on a deal, and until Davies green lights a move to another club, there is no need for them to find an agreement with Bayern.
