Jesus Navas is a Sevilla and La Liga legend, and on Wednesday, he brought up a significant milestone in his career. By starting against Cadiz at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan, the 38-year-old made his 500th appearance in the competition, all of which have come for Los Nervionenses.
Navas had a very solid game, and towards the later stages, he was taken off by Quique Sanchez Flores to rapturous applause. The veteran right-back was clearly very emotional upon being substituted, and he was seen breaking down in tears as he made his way off the pitch.

He was also seen very emotional in the minutes after being taken off, with cameras cutting to him on the Sevilla bench.

It’s a fantastic milestone for a great player. Parts of these tears could be to do with Navas’ possible departure from Sevilla in the summer. If he does go, what a career he can look back on at the Andalusian giants.
