Cadiz rotations all-but reveals Barcelona’s line-up for second leg against Paris Saint-Germain

For Saturday’s La Liga clash with Cadiz at the Nuevo Mirandilla, sandwiched between the two legs of Barcelona’s Champions League quarter-final tie against Paris Saint-Germain, Xavi Hernandez opted for widespread changes to the starting line-up, with only Marc-Andre Ter Stegen and Pau Cubarsi not dropping out for the side that started in Paris.

As per Sport, that has given a big indication as to how Barcelona will line up for the return leg at the Estadi Olimpic in Montjuic on Tuesday, and specifically, in regards to how will play alongside Frenkie de Jong and Ilkay Gundogan in midfield.

That position is open because of suspensions for Sergi Roberto and Andreas Christensen, who both started against Cadiz. Fermin Lopez is a candidate, but he was also in the line-up at the Nuevo Mirandilla, so all signs point to Pedri starting against PSG, as he got another 30 minutes in the tank off the bench, as he continues working his way back from another hamstring injury.

The rest of the line-up is as expected. Ter Stegen, Jules Kounde, Ronald Araujo, Cubarsi and Joao Cancelo will be the back five, while Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski are all-but assured in attack for Barcelona, despite Joao Felix’s impressive goalscoring performance against Cadiz.
