Earlier this week, it was reported that Alphonso Davies has no intention of signing a new contract at Bayern Munich, hence opening the door to a summer move to Real Madrid. Los Blancos are incredibly keen on signing the Canadian left-back, who they see as being their starter for many years to come.
Davies’ current deal expires in 2025, so a cut-price deal is on the cards for this summer. Bayern are prepared to sell for €50m, but currently, Real Madrid do not plan to reach that amount, with Diario AS reporting that their first offer is for €30m.
Personal terms are already finalised between Real Madrid and Davies, meaning that an agreement with Bayern is the only thing standing in the way of a summer transfer. Los Blancos believe that they hold all of the cards in the negotiations, as the Bavaria-based side do not want to lose the 23-year-old for free next summer.
It will be interesting to see how these negotiations between Real Madrid and Bayern play out. A move this summer is still the most likely outcome, and it’s expected that an agreement would be reached as soon as possible.
