Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have indulged in several transactions over the years, with the likes of Luis Suarez, David Villa and Antoine Griezmann having all left Catalonia in favour of joining Diego Simeone’s side. It could be that another forward makes the move this summer, in what would be a shock switch.
Robert Lewandowski is currently in fantastic form, and for the most part, his spell at Barcelona has been a success, even if he was not necessarily value for money. However, given the fact that he is now 35, and on massive wages, there is some within the Blaugrana that would like to see him sold.
That remains a possibility, and according to Ruben Uria, there is a possibility that Atleti make a move for Lewandowski in the summer, provided that he is available to them at the right price.

Atletico Madrid are likely to be in the market for another striker, considering that Memphis Depay, Alvaro Morata and Angel Correa could all be sold, although Lewandowski would be a questionable addition given his possible wages and asking price. However, he is a quality player, and if the price is right, Barcelona may well be sending him on his way to the Civitas Metropolitano.
