Alphonso Davies creeps ever closer to Real Madrid as Bayern Munich refuse to budge on contract talks

With Real Madrid expected to close an agreement in the coming weeks to sign Kylian Mbappe, their next focus after this will be Alphonso Davies, whom they are hoping to sign from Bayern Munich, also this summer.

The Canadian international has agreed personal terms with Los Blancos, while also continuing to hold off Bayern’s advances, with the reigning German champions desperate to tie him down to a new deal. If he doesn’t renew, the likelihood is that he will be available for a reduced fee, although Real Madrid want to bring that down further.

The likelihood is that Davies won’t extend his stay in Bavaria, as according to reports from the newspaper Bild and Sky Germany – covered by Diario AS – Bayern are unwilling to meet the 23-year-old’s wage demands, which are reported to be €20m per season.

It is looking increasingly likely that Davies will become a Real Madrid player. The question is whether he will join this summer or next, as Los Blancos intend to drive his price down as much as possible over the coming months.

  1. Bayern Munchen won’t allow Davies to leave for nothing. If he doesn’t renew his contract with the Germany champions , they will sell him this season.
