Real Madrid TV publishes first referee video since Sevilla complaint, officials for Valencia fixture targeted

So far, Real Madrid have avoided any sort of punishment for the referee scrutiny videos published on their official television channel. Last weekend, Sevilla complained to the Spanish Football Federation over the matter, but it was dismissed by the Competition Committee.

Even before the complaint was turned down, Real Madrid had no plans to stop doing these videos, and true to their word, they have released their latest ahead of Saturday’s clash with Valencia. Jesus Gil Manzano is the referee for this match-up, and it is he that is in Los Blancos’ crosshairs.

As per Diario AS, Real Madrid TV have targeted Gil Manzano over his referee performance during their last trip to the Mestalla, which saw Valencia awarded three penalties in a 4-1 victory over Zinedine Zidane’s side. They say that two of their spot-kicks should not have been awarded, while also claiming that Los Che’s second goal in that fixture should have been disallowed.

RMTV also published a separate video on Jose Luis Munuera Montero, who will be the VAR official for the Valencia match. They attacked him for incidents during three matches in the last 18 months – against Getafe and Villarreal this season, and also against Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey last season.

Despite having had their complaint rejected earlier this week, Sevilla are determined to bring a sufficient case to the Federation in the coming weeks. La Liga intend to support it, although Real Madrid don’t seem to care much, and they will continue with that they are doing.
