Sevilla forward target deliberating between Premier League side and Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan

Sevilla are looking to rebuild their squad this summer following a disastrous season which has seen them fighting relegation for much of the campaign. One of their priorities appears to bringing in the regular goalscorer they have lacked for the last few seasons.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Colombian striker Alfredo Morelos has a good chance of being the club choice for the position. The Rangers striker has been linked to the club for some time, but with his contract expiring, it looks more likely than ever. He will not be renewing his deal with the Scottish side.

He was an option for Galatasaray this summer, but the Turkish giants have dropped out of the race after seeing that they will be hard-pushed to win it. Morelos ‘likes Spanish football’ seemingly, but also has Premier League side Aston Villa offering him a deal.

While Morelos would be an addition with more of a track record of scoring goals than either of Rafa Mir or Youssef En-Nesyri, he is yet to do it at the La Liga level. It would remain something of a risk if Sevilla were to rely on the Colombian, but as competition up front, he could be a useful, with a view to him developing further.
