Carlo Ancelotti future uncertain at Real Madrid reveals Fabrizio Romano

Real Madrid are on a tough run currently in La Liga and it could bring with it consequences. Despite winning a La Liga and Champions League double last season, Carlo Ancelotti is beginning to feel the pressure at the Santiago Bernabeu, as Fabrizio Romano reveals that his future in Madrid is not assured.

Los Blancos have dropped points in four of the last seven La Liga matchdays, leaving them nine points behind league leaders Barcelona. Following their most recent stumble against Real Betis, President Florentino Perez went down to the dressing room to speak with Ancelotti about his decisions.

Asked by Caught Offside whether Real Madrid have other major targets for this summer than Jude Bellingham, Romano explained in his Daily Column that they were not thinking beyond June.

“It’s an important summer for Real Madrid, but this will be decided once manager situation will be clear. Now they are 100% focused on the current season, this is how Real Madrid work.”

Combined with results and reports beginning to leak out of Madrid, increasingly the dark clouds are forming above the Santiago Bernabeu. Ancelotti better than anyone knows how ruthless Perez can be, having been sacked the season after winning the Champions League in his first spell too.
