Sevilla receive mixed injury news as Mexico international trains ahead of PSV Eindhoven

Sevilla have received good and bad news ahead of their second leg Europa league tie against PSV Eindhoven. They go in as comfortable favourites, having won the first leg 3-0 last week.

As per Estadio Deportivo, Fernando Reges did not exercise on Tuesday, although no reason is yet known for his absence. Neither did Loic Bade, who has a thigh strain and will not be available against PSV or Osasuna at the weekend. They join Marcao, Karim Rekik and Papu Gomez on the sideline.

However Gonzalo Montiel did train, despite being taken off against Rayo Vallecano (1-1) with discomfort, while Ivan Rakitic has recovered from a cold to return.

The big news however was the return of Jesus Corona from his anterior cruciate ligament tear, which ruled the Mexico international out for five months and the World Cup.

Although it is unlikely he features for several weeks yet, it is a morale boost for a Sevilla starting to gain momentum. Moving up to 12th place, they now look as if they can pull away from the relegation battle following a tough first part of the season.
