Barcelona are well aware of the plethora of talent that exists in the Bundesliga. Club officials were desperate to land Borussia Dortmund teenager Youssoufa Moukoko for much of this season, until the teenager signed a new contract in January.
Another young star that they are aware of is Florian Wirtz. The 19-year-old is one of the most exciting wonderkids in Europe, and has impressed greatly since debuting for Bayer Leverkusen in 2020.
He has established himself as a regular starter for the German giants in recent seasons, despite still being a teenager, which is testament to his ability. Barcelona like him very much and according to Sport, that feeling is reciprocated.
Wirtz suffered a serious knee injury in March 2022, and only recently returned to action. He scored a sensational solo goal for Leverkusen against AS Monaco in the Europa League last Thursday, which highlighted the incredible ability that he has.

Unfortunately for Barcelona, their financial issues are likely to prevent a deal for Wirtz any time soon, with Bayer Leverkusen likely to command a huge fee for their brightest young talent, who has a contract with the club until 2027. As such, they are under no pressure to sell.
