Villarreal have stormed into an early 1-0 lead at home to Bayern Munich in their Champions League quarter final first leg.
The Yellow Submarine are bidding for a shock place in the Champions League semi finals for the first time since losing out to Arsenal in 2006 and Arnaut Danjuma has given them a perfect start.
Juan Foyth’s break from deep cut right through the Bayern defensive line with ease and his cut back was fired goal wards by Dani Parejo before Danjuma steered home from close range.

Unai Emery’s side now face a battle to keep their focus for the remainder of the game against the Bundesliga superpower but their early confidence will be sky high.
A win against Bayern would be a first victory for Villarreal against German opposition since 2016, as they secured a two legged last 16 Europa League win over Bayer Leverkusen, including a 2-0 win on home soil.
