Neymar could leave PSG this summer in French revolution

Neymar Junior could be part of a serious shake up at PSG this summer, as the club looks to shake off the debacle of the Santiago Bernabeu.

The 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid this past Wednesday sent the Parisian club spiralling into chaos and there could be serious consequences according to French journalist Romain Molina.

SPORT carried the story as Molina described the incoming exodus in Paris. As has been assumed by many, Kylian Mbappe will not renew with the club and will sign a contract with Real Madrid. Manager Mauricio Pochettino is also said to be on his way out after a what would be a tricky 18 months for the former Espanyol manager.

Sporting director Leonardo and CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi may also be part of this purge, according to Molina. Failing to secure Mbappe’s renewal would be the decisive factor in the Brazilian’s sacking, while Al-Khelaifi has a number of strikes against his name. The latest being a furious charge around the Bernabeu after their defeat, in which he threatened staff and had to be removed by his own security.

Brazilian superstar Neymar could also be on the chopping block. Molina reported that there is significant dissatisfaction with him due to both performances and a poor relationship, which could lead to him being sold. The most expensive player ever, Neymar’s move from Barcelona has failed to usher in an era of glory in Paris.

There appears to be a very real chance that Lionel Messi is the only one of the star frontline left in France by the start of next season.
