Real Madrid send scout to London for Arsenal defender, interested in Reece James too

Real Madrid have been on a trip to London to do some window shopping.

Almost a month ago to the day, the first links between Real Madrid and Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney appeared in the news. Now, Mundo Deportivo say that chief scout Juni Calafat was in London to watch Bukayo Saka, but left impressed with the Scottish international.

Capable of playing in central defence as well as in his natural left-back position, Tierney is likely to cost a significant fee with five years remaining on his contract at Arsenal.

The same source reported that Real Madrid are also interested in Chelsea defender Reece James. With uncertainty ruling over the financial backing at Chelsea, Madrid are alert to the situation and may make a move if they feel they can get a cut price.

That may be impacted by interest from elsewhere however, as Manchester City are reportedly interested in James too.
