Barcelona linked with more forward options this summer as Haaland options recede

Barcelona continue to be linked with summer moves for a growing list of young forwards.

Earlier today, Mundo Deportivo reported that Joan Laporta and company were considering moves for Patrik Schick, Rafael Leao, Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner. This would be in light of the growing perception that Erling Haaland is more likely to move to Manchester City than Barcelona.

Atletico Madrid’s record signing Joao Felix is also alternative, according to Goal. Barcelona already enquired about Felix’s availability as part of a swap deal for Antoine Griezmann this past summer and that interest hasn’t died. Felix’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is also keen to make the move happen.

However Atletico have no intention of selling, nor do they have any necessity to as long as they qualify for the Champions League.

Meanwhile, SPORT have also been linking Barcelona with forward options. With Marcus Rashford’s contract expiring in 2023, Barcelona are wondering if they may be able to secure his signature at a reasonable price. Rashford has not been fixture in the line-up at Manchester United lately.
