Sergio Ramos’ injury troubles continue as return to action falls through

Sergio Ramos may not return after all despite reports suggesting he could play as soon as this week.

Ramos has not played a single minute for Paris Saint-Germain since joining on a free transfer last summer.

The centre-back missed more than 30 games through injury for Real Madrid last season, and his injury troubles have continues through this season.

It was reported by Le Parisien that Ramos was finally going to rejoin group training today (Tuesday) ahead of potentially featuring in Friday’s clash with Lille.

But as reported by Diario AS, Ramos has not rejoined group training, instead continuing his individual rehab training.

That means he will be a serious doubt again for Friday’s clash, meaning his misery could continue.

At this point, it seems Real Madrid might just have dodged a bullet over Ramos having initially offered him a new contract before later withdrawing it and sending him on his way.
