Real Madrid have positive updates on Karim Benzema and Sergio Ramos returns

Recent Real Madrid news has been dominated by the club’s injury crisis, with nine senior outfield players unavailable for a recent run of matches.

However, two of the most notable and influential absentees – club captain Sergio Ramos and star forward Karim Benzema – both are making positive progress in terms of their comeback.

A report in Marca outlines how French striker Benzema has returned to the training pitch and Los Blancos hope to recover him for the upcoming Madrid derby against Atletico Madrid.

Ramos – who has missed a month of action with a knee injury – is already training with the ball and is said to be targeting the Champions League second leg Round of 16 tie against Atalanta.

Benzema has netted 17 goals for the club this campaign and is the focal point of the attack and over the last two full seasons he has scored 57 goals and is one of the most consistent elite forwards in football.
