Reiner Jesus set for Real Madrid unveiling

Real Madrid are set to unveil their new signing Reiner Jesus at an opening ceremony at the Santiago Bernabeu on February 17.

Los Blancos agreed a €30M deal with Flamengo, at the end of January, however his arrival has been delayed due to involvement with the Brazil U23 team.

Zinedine Zidane’s side allowed Reiner to complete his stint with the La Selecao underage panel, as they secured qualification for the 2020 Olympics.

The 18-year old has now returned to Brazil ahead of moving to SPain, and posted an emotional message to Flamengo fans via his official Instagram account.

“I will always be a Flamengo boy.”

“Thank you for everything.”

Reiner will initially join up with Raul Gonzalez’s Castilla side in the Spanish capital, however Zidane has already hinted that he could feature in La Liga before the end of the campaign, if he continues his impressive progression under the former Spanish international.

Reiner netted five league goals in his debut senior season in Brazil, with eight goals in 15 appearances at youth level for the national team.
