Serie A side AC Milan are interested in a deal to bring Atletico Madrid defender Santiago Arias to the San Siro.
According to reports in Diario AS, the Italian side have highlighted right back as an area in need of strengthening, and the Colombian international is one of three players they are looking at.
Alongside the former PSV man, Stefano Pioli is open to a €20M move for Arias – who has fallen out of favour in Madrid, following the summer arrival of Kieran Trippier at the Wanda Metropolitano.
The former Tottenham man has established himself as first choice for Diego Simeone so far this season, as a replacement for veteran Juanfran Torres, with Arias making just two La Liga appearances in 2019-20.
If Milan do make their interest clear either in January, or ahead of the 2020-21 campaign, they face a battle for him, with Simeone keen on keeping him as cover for Trippier.
