Real Madrid with Zidane until death – Sergio Ramos

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos insists the club’s dressing room are ‘with Zinedine Zidane until death’ amid speculation on his future.

The comments come in the aftermath of Madrid’s shock weekend defeat to newly-promoted Real Mallorca and ahead of a crucial Champions League clash at Galatasaray.

Zidane’s side have collected just one point from their opening two Champions League group games – losing 3-0 at Paris Saint-Germain and being held to a 2-2 draw at home to Club Brugge.

There has been speculation on the Frenchman’s future at the helm with a series of underwhelming performances this season, even though Saturday was their first league defeat of the campaign.

“The only thing we have in mind, despite everything that has happened, is to win and to play a good game. We have to win – yes or yes,” Ramos told his pre-match press conference, as cited by Diario AS.

“Everyone knows that the dressing room are with Zizou until death, and whatever happens, the image we must give is to be united.

“Madrid always comes back and the only way is to make it together. The results will put everything on our side.”
