Luka Jovic linked with Real Madrid loan exit

Real Madrid are prepared to let Luka Jovic leave on a loan deal, just months after signing for €60m, according to reports.

Marca cite reports in ‘Serbia's two main newspapers’ which both lead on the news that the striker has not impressed Zinedine Zidane in pre-season.

The Serbian has joined Los Blancos in a €60m deal from Eintracht Frankfurt but was not likely to be a regular first-team starter this season ahead of Karim Benzema.

The striker netted 17 goals in 25 Bundesliga starts last season, more than anyone else in the division apart from Robert Lewandowski, while he also netted 10 goals in the Europa League during his side’s run to the semi-finals.

In Madrid’s pre-season, Jovic has been deployed by Zidane both as a number nine on his own and alongside Benzema in a 4-4-2 formation but he has yet to find the net.

However, Marca themselves claim that a loan exit is unlikely with Jovic very much part of the long-term plans at the Santiago Bernabeu, even if he is a peripheral figure this season.
