Liverpool will not be making a move for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, according to manager Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds boss confirmed that the Champions League winners would not be making a move for the Welsh international, despite Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane confirming the club are looking to sell the 30-year old.
"Bale is a Real Madrid player, it is as simple as that, the German boss told reporters during Liverpool's pre-season tour of the United States of America.
"If he was to leave Real Madrid, it wold be a very expensive transfer, and we cannot afford him.
"He is an outstanding player, but you need to create a team, not just individuals."
Bale returned to the Real Madrid team for their pre-season win over Arsenal, however despite scoring in the clash with the Gunners, Zidane confirmed that he still expects Bale to leave before the start of the 2019-20 season.
