Real Madrid want Paul Pogba to take Gareth Bale wages

Real Madrid are willing to pay €150m for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, who Diario AS say will inherit Gareth Bale’s wage packet.

Bale earns €14.5m net per season with Madrid while Pogba will theoretically take on this package, increasing his current annual salary by €2.5m.

The France international has been heavily linked with a move to Los Blancos this summer, however the Spanish giants are said to be unwilling to pay the asking price which some outlets have suggested is closer to €200m.

Pogba reportedly remains Zinedine Zidane's primary transfer target this summer and despite Madrid already spending over €300m on new players they are said to be plotting a significant move for the midfielder.

The Frenchman and his agent Mino Raiola have indicated that he wants to leave Old Trafford following a disappointing campaign and is intent on a move to the Spanish capital.

Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek and Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen are others who have been linked with a summer move to Los Blancos.
