Atletico Madrid's record signing Joao Felix lasted just 27 minutes on his club debut due to injury.
The Portuguese international, who joined in a €126m deal earlier this month, suffered a hip injury after falling awkwardly following a challenge in their 3-0 win over Numancia CF.
Diego Simeone handed the 19-year old his first start for Los Rojiblancos, and was visibly annoyed at his premature departure, however he did state after the game that Felix's injury did not look serious.
The Argentine boss also handed debuts to fellow new signings Kieran Trippier, Mario Hermoso, Renan Lodi and Marcos Llorente from the start, with Ivan Saponjic, Hector Herrera and Felipe Monteiro making the Atletico bow after the break.
In hot conditions at the Estadio Municipal de el Burgo de Osma, Atletico had to wait until the 70th minute to find a breakthrough as forgotten man Vitolo headed home.
Saponjic then marked his first appearance with a goal three minutes later, converting a close range cross from Manu Sanchez, before defender Felipe added the second debut goal of the game with six minutes to go – stabbing home from a yard out from a corner.
