Napoli open to James Rodriguez loan from Real Madrid

Napoli could offer a loan move to James Rodriguez, to help break the deadlock with Real Madrid.

The Serie A side have been linked with the Colombian international after Bayern Munich rejected the chance to take up their purchase optionon the former AS Monaco player.

Rodriguez, spent the last two seasons on loan at the Bundesliga side, however they declined to pay Real Madrid's €46m asking price for him, and he has returned to the Spanish capital.

Napoli are also unwilling to pay that price for a player with one year left on his contract at the Santiago Bernabeu, and have now offered a one-year loan deal.

However according to reports in Mundo Deportivo, Rodriguez's agent Jorge Mendes has asked Real Madrid to accept Napoli's offer, as they are unwilling to bid over €30m.

There are reports of other clubs being interested in Rodriguez, with city rivals Atletico Madrid monitoring the situation with interest.
