Paul Pogba ‘should focus on his career, not his agent’ – Bryan Robson

Paul Pogba “should focus on his career and not the interests of his agent,” according to Manchester United legend Bryan Robson.

The French midfielder has been strongly linked with a summer exit from Old Trafford with his controversial agent Mino Raiola constantly speaking to the media suggesting a move away is possible.

“His agent has interests in his signing for which Pogba should not be guided,” Robson is cited as saying by El Mundo Deportivo.

“He has to think only for the interests of his sporting career and not for his agent's interests.”

It is claimed that Madrid must raise significant funds in further player sales in order to finance a move for the Frenchman – rated at €180m – formerly of Juventus.

Marcos Llorente, Raul de Tomas, Mateo Kovacic and Theo Hernandez have already been sold to raise in the region of €125m in player funds, but many more players are said to be vulnerable.

Such complications in Pogba’s move may see Madrid retain Dani Ceballos or potentially sign either Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek or Tottenham’s Christian Eriksen instead.
