Enzo Zidane, son of Zinedine, is closing in on a move to join Portuguese club Vitoria de Guimaraes, report El Mundo Deportivo.
The 24-year-old began talks several weeks ago with the club, based in northern Portugal, with the report developing on one published in A Bola.
The central midfielder made 34 appearances on loan last season at Rayo Majadhonda in Spain’s second division but was unable to prevent their relegation to the third tier.
Enzo has now been released from Swiss club Lausanne, who held his contract, and now looks set to join the club who finished fifth in Portugal’s top flight last season.
The midfielder started his career at Real Madrid and had a stint at Alaves, while his brother Luca – a goalkeeper – has joined Racing Santander on loan from Madrid.
