Toni Kroos: Documentary not attack on Bayern Munich

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos insists his new documentary is ‘not hitting back at Bayern Munich’ but ‘does include bad things’.

The 29-year-old German has discussed the new documentary – named Kroos – which reflects on his career including the early days at the Bavarian club.

“The people criticising me should watch the film and then they would understand everything,” Kroos told reporters.

“It has nothing to do with hitting back against Bayern but of course, a documentary shows the truth and that includes both the good things and the bad.

“Everyone knows that I had a good time in Munich, otherwise I would not have been there for seven years – I won the Bundesliga three times and the DFK Pokal three times.

“And for the most part, I was a regular player there too.

“Therefore, this has nothing to do with hitting back but it is a review as to how I felt at the time when I was a teenager.

“There were also things that did not really satisfy me but that has nothing to do with hitting back – I’m just reflecting on how I felt back then.

“I’m not saying that I was always right in the past but simply how I felt so it is up to you if you read the headlines or the text.”
