FC Barcelona growing ‘frustrated’ with Matthijs De Ligt

FC Barcelona are becoming frustrated in their pursuit of Ajax skipper Matthijs De Ligt, according to reports in Marca

The La Liga champions have been heavily linked with a €75m move for the Dutch international, following an outstanding season in the Netherlands.

However reported interest from Italian and German giants Juventus and Bayern Munich have complicated the situation, with the 19-year old stating that he wants to take his time in deciding where his future lies.

He has confirmed that he intends to leave Ajax, however a decision on his future is not expected to at least another two weeks.

This has led to discontent on the Catalan end of the deal, after reportedly already agreeing a fee with the Eredivise champions, back in May.

If De Ligt does decided against a move to the Camp Nou, Ernesto Valverde is not expected to target another defensive signing, preferring to add to his midfield options, after already securing a deal for De Ligt's team mate Frenkie De Jong.
