Real Sociedad goal keeper Geronimo Rulli is considering a move away from the club according to reports in Mundo Deportivo this weekend.
The Argentine international, who joined the Basque side in 2017, still has three years left to run on his contract, but his first team place could be under threat by the reported imminent arrival of Athletic Bilbao stopper Alex Remiro.
Rulli was first choice for La Real during his two loan spells at the club in 2014-15/2015-16, and again in the two seasons he has been at the club permanently, however Remiro's arrival could change that.
The 24-year old will leave San Mames on a free transfer this summer, following a contract dispute with the club, and he is highly rated after a fine loan spell at Huesca in 2017-18.
Rulli wants to remain at the club, and has stated his preference to stay, despite reported interest from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco and Premier League club Newcastle United.
A loan deal could also be an option, but the club are less keen on that as they would prefer to receive a fee for Rulli, to then reinvest into other areas of the squad ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
