Daily Mirror: Real Madrid want Paul Pogba and Gareth Bale swap deal

Real Madrid are willing to sanction a swap deal between Gareth Bale and Paul Pogba, according to UK newspaper the Daily Mirror.

The report states that Zinedine Zidane remains determined to add the French international to the growing list of new arrivals at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.

Pogba is currently valued at around £130m by the Red Devils, who are reluctant to let their star asset go for any less than that figure, however they could be swayed by the potential of bringing Welsh international Bale to old Trafford.

Bale's potential exit from the Spanish capital is set to dominate back pages this summer, with Zidane seemingly willing to allow him to leave the club before the start of the 2019-20 campaign.

Any player-swap deal is not likely to be smooth, with United likely to demand a fee, as well as Bale, to facilitate Pogba's move away from the club in the coming weeks.

There is also the issue of wages, with Bale needing to take a big cut from his current deal of around €500,000 per week, with united only willing to stretch to £300,000.
