Antoine Griezmann has admitted he ‘does not know’ when his next club will be confirmed after declaring he was leaving Atletico Madrid.
The 28-year-old stated last month that he was leaving Los Rojiblancos this summer and was immediately heavily linked with clubs such as Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
The Frenchman’s release clause drops from €200m to €120m on 1 July and it is expected that the opening week of that month will see his future club confirmed.
“I do not know when my future will be resolved,” Griezmann is cited as saying by Marca, after scoring in a 2-0 friendly win for France over Bolivia.
“It is a good question, but everything will come in its time.
“It is always a wonderful thing to play for the national team, we all enjoy it, not everyone can live this experience and we are proud to represent France.”
The Frenchman penned a long-term contract at Atleti last summer after rejecting interest from Barca, who had pursued a deal, but will now depart.
