Willian Jose committed to Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad striker WIllian Jose is committed to staying at the club – despite widespread reports linking him with a summer exit.

The Brazilian frontman has won plenty admirers from within La Liga and across Europe following his move to the Anoeta from Real Zaragoza back in 2016, with 38 goals in 91 league games.

However he is enjoying life under manager Imanol Alguacil, and he has reassured the club's fans that he is not looking to move on this summer.

"Of course it is normal that when a player does well that they have offers from other teams, he told an exclusive interview with Marca.

"But I am very happy and very calm here.

"La Real have given me an opportunity to play in La Liga, to develop as a player – and an important one for the side – and I am very grateful for that."

The former Gremio man also confirmed his agent had been contacted by a Champions League club, with a view to a summer switch, however he has instructed his representatives that he is happy in the Basque Country.
