Real Betis are set to have a busy transfer window this summer, although they will need to raise funds to ensure that they have the finances to sign their targets. Fortunately, the money is about to start rolling in, with one deal close to being completed.
As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Willian Jose is set to join Russian side Spartak Moscow. The Brazilian marksman, who netted 14 goals in all competitions last season, is not in Manuel Pellegrini’s plans for the 2024-25 campaign, so a sale had been considered as necessary. Final details are all that remains before a deal is finalised.

Not only will Real Betis receive a decent fee, they will also be getting a high-earner off their books, which is crucial given their financial woes. Willian Jose is unlikely to be the only attacker leaving this summer, as Borja Iglesias has been heavily linked with moving on too. That would leave Cedric Bakambu and Chimy Avila as striker options, although someone could be signed.
