Spurs striker Fernando Llorente ‘honoured’ with Napoli links

The agent and brother of Tottenham striker Fernando Llorente has claimed the player would be ‘happy and honoured’ to join Napoli.

The Spaniard’s contract in North London expires in June but he has netted eight goals and provided five assists in 33 games for Spurs across this campaign.

“When there are rumours, there is always a kernel of truth in there,” Llorente told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, as cited by our sister site Football Italia.

“Despite his past at Juventus, Fernando would be very happy and honoured by try an experience at Napoli.”

The 33-year-old netted 118 goals between 2004 and 2012 at Athletic Club Bilbao and has also been linked with a possible return to the San Mames this summer.

He wore the Juve jersey from 2013-2015 before moves to Sevilla, Swansea City and since 2017 Tottenham.
