Atletico Madrid have an interest in signing Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier this summer, according to reports.
The 28-year-old’s form at Spurs has stagnated this season and the club are said to be open to a sale which will allow them to reinvest in their squad.
The Mail in England say Atleti have registered their interest in the England international and are willing to pay €18m for a deal this summer.
The former Burnley defender helped his nation to last year’s World Cup semi-final while he has also helped Spurs reach the last four of this season’s Champions League.
Atleti will need to boost their defensive numbers this summer – Lucas Hernandez had joined Bayern Munich while Diego Godin, Filipe Luis and Juanfran are all out of contract.
Napoli have also been linked with a summer move for Trippier.
