Sevilla hold a long-standing interest in Ajax attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech but may be priced out of a move, report El Desmarque.
It is claimed that under sporting director Monchi, the Andalusian club monitored the player and considered paying €6m in the summer of 2015.
The following year, the Twente player joined Ajax in an €11m deal and he has since appeared in the Europa League final and is now a Champions League semi-finalist.
The 26-year-old now has a market valuation of €35m and Monchi – who returned to Sevilla this month – is still said to hold an interest but appreciates that any possibility of a deal may be gone.
Ziyech has scored 38 goals in 120 appearances for the Amsterdam club.
