Sergio Ramos sidelined for Leganes clash

Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos will miss their Monday night trip to Leganes with a calf injury.

The 33 year-old was rested for the visit of Eibar last weekend, and manager Zinedine Zidane confirmed he would miss the local derby match as the club assess the damage of the injury.

However he did confirm that the injury is likely to rule the Spanish international out until next season, with some game time expected before the end of the current campaign.

Dani Carvajal and Maraino Diaz both returned to full training this week, and Zidane could include them in the match day squad for Monday night, however Vinicius Junior has been ruled out as he continues his recovery from injury.

A win for Zidane's side would see them move two points behind second place Atletico Madrid, and closer to confirming a Champions League qualification place for next season.
